        鐵是主量元素和變價(jià)元素,在巖漿成因與演化、巖理學(xué)、構(gòu)造巖石學(xué)、成礦作用等研究方面具有重要意義。查明巖漿過程中鐵同位素的地球化學(xué)行為是正確運(yùn)用鐵同位素對(duì)相關(guān)地質(zhì)問題進(jìn)行制約的前提。目前人們對(duì)巖漿過程中的鐵同位素基本行為已有了概略性了解,但許多問題仍待進(jìn)一步研究。例如,在礦物方面,主要含鐵礦物間鐵同位素的平衡分餾順序已基本建立,但其間同位素分餾大小及其與氧逸度、溫度、壓力等條件的關(guān)系還有待精確確定,同時(shí),這方面的知識(shí)是運(yùn)用同位素反演巖漿演化過程的基礎(chǔ)。在基性巖漿體系方面,目前人們對(duì)鐵同位素地球化學(xué)行為的認(rèn)識(shí)主要來自于對(duì)富含氧化物的鎂鐵—超鎂鐵質(zhì)層狀巖體的調(diào)查,但對(duì)斜長(zhǎng)巖雜巖體和富含硫化物巖體的鐵同位素研究還幾乎是空白,這些巖體可能由不同類型的巖漿演化而來,鐵同位素在這些不同類型的巖漿演化過程中的行為有何差異?熔離是巖漿演化的重要過程之一,也是巖漿礦床形成的重要機(jī)制,可否運(yùn)用鐵同位素對(duì)巖漿是否發(fā)生過熔離進(jìn)行制約?目前人們對(duì)熔離過程中的鐵同位素地球化學(xué)行為仍然不清楚,不同的大地構(gòu)造環(huán)境形成不同的巖漿巖巖石組合,鐵同位素是否對(duì)巖石組合形成的大地構(gòu)造背景具有指示意義也是值得進(jìn)一步研究的重要問題。

        巖漿過程的鐵同位素研究不僅對(duì)于豐富和完善非傳統(tǒng)穩(wěn)定同位素地球化學(xué)理論體系具有重要意義,而且對(duì)于理解地球的巖漿作用和地幔作用過程、示蹤巖漿型礦床的物質(zhì)來源和成礦過程等方面具有重要潛力??梢灶A(yù)見,隨著鐵同位素測(cè)試技術(shù)的逐漸普及,人們對(duì)鐵同位素的地球化學(xué)研究將會(huì)深入和廣泛。
