As a leading international trade fair organizer specialized in emerging markets, ITE was established in 1991 and was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1998. The company’s strategic focus on key emerging and developing markets has delivered successive years of revenue growth.
ITE began its operations in China in 2005 and established an effective and professional international team in the country. In 2008, the whollyowned company ITE China was founded. Today, there are ITE offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuhan. A core business of ITE China is to promote ITE trade fairs out of China to Chinese companies.
As early as in the days of the foundation of ITE, based on the understanding of the maturing of the trade fair markets in North America and Germany, the company decided that its focus shall be on emerging markets. After setting up the first professional exhibition organizing team in Russia, ITE marched into Middle Asia. With major support from local governments, ITE trade fairs have been connecting local and global markets. Today, ITE trade fairs are associated with quality with exhibitors, visitors and exhibition agents, including those from China. In 2014, total exhibition space by Chinese exhibitors at ITE fairs was over 20,000 square meters, the number of exhibitors about 1,000. From the perspective of the organizer, Muyessara Tursun gladly notices that the young generation of exhibitors now account for nearly 20% of total number of Chinese exhibitors. Well-educated and equipped with business expertise from the last generation and international awareness, they are more proactive in dealing with clients at the fairs. However, it is expected that they make more effort on before-show advertising and hire interpreters to better communicate with local clients.
ITE contributes its fast developments worldwide to the utilization of local talents, such is also the case of ITE China. Muyessara Tursun believes that local talents possess in-depth understanding of local markets and that is essential for business operation of multinational companies.
