Established in 2001, Zhejiang Broad International Convention Exhibition Co., Ltd has one of the largest overseas exhibition agent business scale in China. Equipped with experienced talents and enjoying long-term strategic partnership with foreign and Chinese exhibition organizers, the company has achieved remarkable professional recognition, including the awards of the Famous Brand of Zhejiang Province, Famous Service Brand of Zhejiang Province, ISO9001:2000 credential and International Association of Exposition Management (IAEM) membership. Each year, the company organizes Chinese export companies to participate in about 100 overseas exhibitions covering over 20 industry sectors and 100 countries and regions in the world.
Apart from the core business of overseas exhibition agent, the company also organizes overseas exhibitions of its own to further the export business of Zhejiang companies. Since 2008, the company has been organizing a series of Zhejiang Export Fairs in Vietnam,Osaka, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai. The total number of exhibitors each year reaches about 1,000. In particular, Zhejiang Export Fair (Osaka) as the biggest self-organized Zhejiang Trade Fair overseas ranks on top place in aspects like number of trade visitors, market influences, and trade effect.
Chen contributes the success of the Osaka fair to making key effort on trade visitors invitation. Each year, the number of trade visitors to the fair reaches 7,000, i.e. each individual booth receives 20 visitors. In addition, Zhejiang Broad International Convention Exhibition Co., Ltd collects the supply and need information from exhibitors and trade visitors and make appointments between them. This has ensured the trade effect of the fair and a high satisfaction rate of 90% from exhibitors and trade visitors.
As a further effort to promote the image and sale of Zhejiang produces, Zhejiang Broad International Convention Exhibition Co., Ltd has also stretched into the building of airport shops of Zhejiang Quality Products. Under the supervision of Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province and the principle of marketoriented operation, the first shop was opened in January 2015 at Hong Kong International Airport, the area is 88 square meters. When this operation model is mature, Chen says, they will consider building more shops at big international airports to promote Zhejiang products in high-end consumer markets globally.
