這是一座展示浮世繪畫家安藤廣重作品的美術(shù)館。其設(shè)計理念是：將安藤廣重在木刻版畫作品中創(chuàng)造的獨特空間結(jié)構(gòu)，以建筑的形式呈現(xiàn)出來。 安藤廣重曾嘗試通過層次的疊加表達三維空間，該方法與西方繪畫的觀點形成鮮明對比，并對印象主義和弗蘭克?勞埃德?賴特的建筑產(chǎn)生過重大影響。該建筑以當(dāng)?shù)厣寄局瞥傻陌偃~窗來體現(xiàn)這種疊加方法，所有的杉木都經(jīng)過防火和防腐處理。

A museum dedicated to the works by Hiroshige Ando, an Ukiyo-e artist.

An attempt to materialize in architecture his unique spatial structure that he has built inside his woodblock prints. He has tired to express the three-dimensional space through superposition of layers. Such method contrasts with the perspective seen in Westernpaintings, and has had a major impact on Impressionism and Frank Lloyd Wright`s architecture.Here, wooden louvers made of local cedar are used to materialize this superposition method. The cedar is treated with fireproof and rotproof processes.
