I am always interested in China Todays business and econom- ics articles. They present a clear picture of the Chinese economy and of foreign investors in China. In particular， I fi nd the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road initiatives really interesting from both a cultural and an economic perspective. In addition， the economic clusters that China is creating around Beijing， Tianjin and Hebei， and in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta are such large-scale projects that it is hard to imagine their coming to fruition elsewhere in the world.

I was deeply impressed and touched by Octobers special report “Remember the War， Cherish World Peace.” China was devastated by WWII. Those who suffered great pain during the war have the deepest longing for peace. We have learnt from the triumph of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression that a nations security is based on peoples unity. Chinas top leaders attended a ceremony to mark the 69th anniversary of the nations victory over Japanese invaders on September 3， 2014. The high-profi le event demonstrated Chinas resolution to keep alive the memory of its victory. At the same time， it calls on people across the world to safeguard world peace and stability. China is rising， but it will never forget its history. Remembering the past while striving for peace is the best we can do to commemorate war victims.

My father told me about your magazine when I was a child. At the time， it was called China Reconstructs. Recently， I rediscovered your magazine at the Confucius Institute in my city and was happy to read the story about the school built by the Republic of Congo in Yushu， Qinghai Province. I look forward to reading more articles about Africa as well as stories about Africans living in China in future issues.
