分析：第一題work out意為“解決，算出”；come true意為“實現(xiàn)，達到”；put up意為“舉起，推舉”；show off意為“炫耀，賣弄”。句意為“如果我們盡我們最大努力工作，我們的夢想有一天會實現(xiàn)的?！贝鸢笧锽。第二題come up意為“出現(xiàn)，發(fā)生”；come in意為“進來；”come out意為“出版”；come on意為“快點”。句意為“韓寒是位受歡迎的作家。他的新書將在九月出版?！贝鸢笧镃。

英語中，含有come的短語有很多。本文擬將初中階段最常見的come短語做以歸納，以期對同學們的復(fù)習有所幫助。

1.come about：發(fā)生、產(chǎn)生、造成

How did these differences come about？這些差別是怎樣產(chǎn)生的呢？

They didnt know how the change had come about. 他們不知道這個變化是怎樣造成的。

2.come across：（偶然）遇見 / 發(fā)現(xiàn)

A man was walking through a wood and he came across a wood cutter. 一個人在穿過森林的時候，偶然遇見了一個伐木工人。

I came across an old photo of my grandfather when I was looking for some books. 當我在找一些書的時候，偶然發(fā)現(xiàn)祖父的一張舊照片。

3.come true：實現(xiàn)、成為現(xiàn)實

I hope his dream of becoming a scientist will come true. 我希望他當科學家的夢想可以實現(xiàn)。

Your wonderful dream will come true as long as you keep working hard. 只要你不斷地努力工作，你的美好夢想終究會實現(xiàn)。

4.come on：趕快、加油、發(fā)展、發(fā)育、生長

Come on！You will win the match. 加油！你會贏得比賽的。

The baby is coming on well. 那個嬰兒發(fā)育良好。

5.come out：出版、發(fā)表、出來、出現(xiàn)、開花、發(fā)芽

When is his new novel coming out？你的新小說何時問世？

The rain stopped and the sun came out. 雨停了，太陽出來了。

I think the rose will come out next week. 我想玫瑰下周就開花了。

6 . come to：蘇醒、達到、被想出、來到、共計

In a few moments Mr. Smith suddenly came to. 片刻之后，史密斯先生突然醒來了。

How much does our bill come to？我們的賬單總計多少錢？

The idea came to him in his bath. 他洗澡時想出了這個主意。

7.come up with：想出、提出

She came up with a good idea for increasing sales. 她想出了一個增加銷量的好主意。

If you cant come up with a way to work out the problem，I will help you. 如果你不能想出辦法解決這個問題，我會幫助你。

8.come back：回來、恢復(fù)、使回想起

When did you come back yesterday？你昨天什么時候回來的？

Its all coming back to me now. 現(xiàn)在我全都想起來了。

9.come over：過來、順便來訪

You and Mike must come over to my house and see！你和邁克一定要來我家看看。

They went into the shop. The shopkeeper came over and asked if he could help them. 他們走進商店，店主過來問他們要買什么。

10.come from：來自、出生（于）

Where do you come from？你是哪里人？

He comes from Japan. 他來自日本。

11.come by：從旁邊走過、得到某物

He came by without a word. 他從我身邊走過，一句話也沒說。

How did you come by this book？你是怎樣得到這本書的？endprint

12.come down：（價格、溫度等）降低、下降；坍塌、塌下、落下（雨、雪）

The childs temperature came down in the morning. 孩子的體溫在早上降下來了。

I dont think meat will come down this year，will it？我認為今年的肉價不會降，是嗎？

The rain came down in torrents. 天下著傾盆大雨。

13.come along：走來、一道來

Thank you，doctor. Come along，Tom. 謝謝，醫(yī)生。湯姆，走吧！

He came along with us. 他是和我們一起來的。

14.come round：走過來、前來

The conductor is coming round. 列車員往這邊走過來。

Hes coming round to get her quite soon. 他很快就會過來接她的。

15.come upon / on：偶然遇到 / 碰上

He came on an old friend that day when he visited the club. 那天他參觀那家俱樂部時，無意中碰到了一位老朋友。

It was in the Public Library that he came upon his uncle. 他就是在這家公共圖書館里碰到他叔叔的。
