本案位于孟買的中部地區(qū)，整棟建筑共有6層樓，每2層為一個公寓單元，它們分屬于同一家族的三個家庭：父母（一對老夫婦）以及兩對有孩子的年輕夫婦。設(shè)計團隊根據(jù)這三組家庭的不同需求和個性分別做了三套室內(nèi)設(shè)計。同一個大空間中采用了三種不同布局，每個住宅單元都備有特色，而且其設(shè)計理念都與印度的典型住宅大相徑庭，整體空間與喧囂的都市氛圍及社會環(huán)境也截然不同。

在設(shè)計本案前，設(shè)計團隊與業(yè)主家族的每個家庭成員都進行過交流，并根據(jù)他們各自的需求以及各個空間的特點制定出一套清晰的設(shè)計方案。而本案的一大亮點就是位于寓所中部的樓梯。這條樓梯宛如空間中的一座雕塑，鏤空的設(shè)計讓室內(nèi)獲得了良好的采光及自然通風(fēng)之效果。極富流動感的精致線條使其成為了空間中的主角，無論在公共區(qū)域的任何一個角落，都能看到它的優(yōu)美姿態(tài)。樓梯的優(yōu)雅線條還一直延伸至百葉窗和天花板等建筑元素之中，成為貫穿整個空間的連接物。在這座寓所里，每個空間和每個細節(jié)都迎合了不同家庭成員的特點；每種顏色、每幅畫作、每件廚具以及每樣織品都是根據(jù)他們的不同特征來挑選的，也因此讓整座住宅散發(fā)出獨特的個性色彩。

天花板是客廳空間的點睛之筆，波浪般的柔美曲線之間隱約地流露出絲絲光韻，獨特的框架結(jié)構(gòu)提升了整個空間的視覺高度。而作為家庭成員們聚餐的餐廚區(qū)，其設(shè)計則以簡潔的線條為主，搭配質(zhì)感清新的木材質(zhì)家具，營造出一種寧靜而優(yōu)雅的氛圍。

每間臥室的氛圍都不盡相同，其內(nèi)部家具都是從米蘭的家具展中精心挑選出來的。此外，臥室空間還運用了多種獨特設(shè)計：藝術(shù)品、地毯和掛毯、馬賽克元素、瓦利大花白大理石以及胡桃木，并與以白色為主的背景色形成鮮明對比。

禮拜室/祈禱室都是經(jīng)過設(shè)計團隊的調(diào)查和考究后才得以設(shè)計的，里面的每個細節(jié)都經(jīng)得起推敲，無論是顏色和燈光，還是墻柜上的精致雕刻品，設(shè)計團隊都嘗試用一種現(xiàn)代的設(shè)計手法來演繹，但又不失莊重的宗教色彩。這里是一個真正能讓人沉思、修養(yǎng)靈性、感受安寧與祥和的空間。

Located in central Mumbai， the client built a 6-storey building， 2 for each apartment， the design team simultaneously performs 3 interiordesign projects for 3 different clients， all from the same family； parents （an older couple） and 2 families of young couples with children，each with different needs and personalities. This is how the design team addresses the same space with different distributions， each hada different reason on which interiors are designed， a concept far from typical housing inIndia， a space for living inside， contrasting with its urban context， with its social environment.

Specifically in the SDM apartment， after a talk with each member of the family， designersgot a well defined program based on the customs of each user and each space. Thestaircase located at the center of the apartment. It was designed as a sculpture in thespace with more light and natural ventilation； with very subtle lines but protagonist of thespace， it can be seen almost from anywhere in the public areas. It becomes the articulatorof spaces and is replicated in other architectural elements such as blinds and ceiling. Everyspace， every detail meets a special character of the users. Every color， every picture， everykitchen utensil， every linen was specifically chosen to complete this project and to make itunique.

The living room is a place wherethe ceiling is an important elementand which subtly illuminates thearea， the movement generated in itresponds to the frame beams thatform the structure. The kitchen aselement for family reunion has beendesigned on simple lines whichtogether with the materials create aserene and elegant atmosphere.

Each bedroom has a differentatmosphere and they have beenspecially furnished with piecesselected from the furniture fair inMilan. There are a wide variety ofexclusive designs， artworks， rugsand tapestries， mosaics applications，arabescato marble and walnut woodcontrasting with the white of thegeneral area.

The pooja room or prayer room wasthe subject of a major investigationthat is expressed in each element，color and lighting， the carving workfor the board is a real craft，integrating these elements in acontemporary way was the way toachieve a space for contemplation，spiritual communion， peace andharmony.
