本案位于倫敦，其前身為一座教堂，2005年被當(dāng)?shù)氐囊患夜臼召?gòu)并改造，2013年年底，本案設(shè)計(jì)師Gianna購(gòu)買了這座房屋。該樓是一棟二級(jí)保護(hù)建筑，建于上世紀(jì)80年代，如今成為了Gianna的家和工作室。經(jīng)過(guò)她的改造及設(shè)計(jì)后，這座住宅成為了她一直夢(mèng)寐以求的工作、居住空間。

在改造之初，Gianna就打算將這座房子設(shè)計(jì)成一個(gè)既可工作又可娛樂(lè)的完美空間，而不僅僅是一座華美的住宅。這里有足夠的空間將工作區(qū)和起居室間隔開(kāi)，但設(shè)計(jì)師選擇將這兩個(gè)空間結(jié)合在一起。

Gianna遵循自己的想法，希望自己和同事們能在輕松有趣的氛圍中工作，于是在客廳中放置了一架帶有自動(dòng)播放系統(tǒng)的數(shù)字化鋼琴，工作期間，整座房子里都洋溢著悠揚(yáng)的琴聲。此外，設(shè)計(jì)師還在一層放置了一張?zhí)卮筇?hào)的獨(dú)立工作臺(tái)，在工作過(guò)后，這張工作臺(tái)可以輕而易舉地化身為一張能容納12個(gè)人就餐的大餐桌。大面的白色玻璃柜櫥里存放了各種各樣的工作資料，還有一小部分用于存放瓷器和刀具。整個(gè)房子的室內(nèi)設(shè)計(jì)構(gòu)思及家具采購(gòu)都僅由Gianna一人完成，大部分的家具、燈具和裝飾品都是從與她長(zhǎng)期合作的家具商處采購(gòu)而來(lái)的。同時(shí)，她自己也設(shè)計(jì)了一些家具和配飾，例如客廳里的大沙發(fā)、靠墊、餐桌以及數(shù)字油畫等。

起居室的布局融入了設(shè)計(jì)師的各種新設(shè)計(jì)理念。例如，客廳里放置了一張尺寸相當(dāng)于3套沙發(fā)的大型沙發(fā)組合，它由三個(gè)模塊組成，分別面向三個(gè)不同的方向，能容納18人就座，Gianna將其命名為“Everybody”。Gianna喜歡采用特大號(hào)的家具來(lái)做室內(nèi)設(shè)計(jì)，這樣能減少家具數(shù)量，由此降低裝修成本，而且這些大型家具往往能給整個(gè)空間帶來(lái)強(qiáng)大的視覺(jué)沖擊效果。由于這棟建筑的天花板高度較高，各種能源耗損會(huì)較大，所以室內(nèi)安裝了高效能的隔熱保溫系統(tǒng)，以減少能源的消耗。

二樓的兩間臥室都有獨(dú)立的大衣柜和配套浴室。在主臥部分，Gianna將一大面拱形壁龕改造成了更衣室，更衣室的門面上安裝了大面鏡子，鏡子上映射出美輪美奐的空間結(jié)構(gòu)和天花板上的原始橡木橫梁?；▓@的設(shè)計(jì)靈感則源自于設(shè)計(jì)師去法國(guó)旅游時(shí)的回憶。優(yōu)雅的薰衣草、清新的橄欖樹(shù)和酒吧式的座椅共同勾勒出了一個(gè)浪漫而靜謐的美妙空間，同時(shí)也洋溢著迷人的地中海風(fēng)情。

The architectural conversion of this church located in London was made in 2005 by a local company， and at the end of 2013， thedesigner purchased it for herself. This Grade lI listed property， （dated 1980） is in fact the designer's home and office and it is， at thesame time， an expression of all she had dreamed about a space to work/live in.

From the start， Gianna had in mind a house that wouldn't be only beautiful， but also a perfect place to work and have fun！ There wasenough space to separate the working area from the living room， but the designer's choice was to integrate them. Gianna just followed herview that they should have fun even when they are working， so the digital grand piano has a self play system and it is often \"on\" duringthe working hours. Also， her option was to make a single extra large working table which， after work， easily becomes a perfect dining tablewhich can accommodate 12 people. The massive white glass cupboard keeps all sorl of working materials， but finally reserved a smallpart of it as storage for china and cutlery. The interior design concept and sourcing of furniture were exclusively made by herself， but shecounted on her long term collaborators to supply the furniture， lighting. etc. She also designed some pieces of furniture， like the large sofain the lounge， dining table， cushions and digital printed canvasses.

To illustrate the new concept， Gianna would like to mention her choice of layout for the living space. It was large enough to fit 3 sofas intoit， but she preferred instead to replace 3 standard-sized sofas for a massive \"3D\" one. She named it \"Everybody\" as it accommodates upt0 18 people. She has always preferred a lower number of over sized furniture as the overall cost will be lower and they can bring a hugevisual impact to the space. Due to the high ceiling of this building， the energy consumption to heat it was too high， therefore an efficientthermal insulation was done to reduce this consumption.

Both bedrooms of this property have their own walk-in wardrobes and bathrooms， but in the master bedroom， Gianna transformed anarc-shaped niche into an extra dressing room. She made its doors in mirror so they can reflect the stunning architecture and original oakbeams across the ceilings. In designing the garden， Gianna was inspired by her memories of traveling to France， with its lavenders inflower， olive trees and bistro-style chairs： a Mediterranean atmosphere！
