Qiu Xigao， with pen name of Xiao Shan， was born in Laizhou，Shandong Province 1936 and graduated from Northwest Normal University. Currently he is a member of China Artists and Calligraphers Association， Gansu Artists Association and Gansu Calligraphers Association. He is also the deputy president of Gansu Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute. He has held many sole exhibitions at home and abroad and won grand prizes， some of which have been actioned at high prices and collected by famous museums.

邱希高，筆名小山，1936年生，山東省萊州市人，畢業(yè)于西北師范大學，現(xiàn)任中國書法美術家協(xié)會理事，甘肅美術家協(xié)會會員，甘肅書法家協(xié)會會員，甘肅書畫研究院副院長。

其作品多次參加國內外展覽并獲獎，部分作品還送到日本和美國等處展銷。2006年在蘭州、2007年在煙臺舉辦個人畫展，得到業(yè)內人士的一致好評。多幅作品在瀚海等知名拍賣公司相繼拍出，幾百幅作品在報刊上發(fā)表，被收入《中國當代藝術界名人錄》、《中華人物大典》、《現(xiàn)代中日美術通鑒》、《中華翰墨名家作品博覽》、《二十世紀著名書畫家》、《甘肅日報收藏書畫集》、《竹韻竹頌》等。1994年編輯出版了《明清百名進士墨跡》一書。2011年編輯出版了《古今名人墨跡》，部分作品被山東省博物館等收藏。單幅墨竹《清風揚四?！酚?997年被甘肅美術出版社作為年畫出版。2012年，書畫頻道《2012迎新春書畫作品展播——優(yōu)秀作品集》登載其作品。2013年4月在煙臺市群眾藝術館成功舉辦個人畫展。
