“Brave”出自美國創(chuàng)作歌手Sara Bareilles 于2013年發(fā)行的同名專輯Brave。Sara Bareilles雖然沒有經(jīng)過正規(guī)的聲樂、鋼琴學(xué)習(xí)和訓(xùn)練，卻天生有著出眾的音樂天賦，被稱為“鋼琴才女”的她是美國樂壇近幾年嶄露頭角的一顆新星。這首歌的創(chuàng)作靈感來自Sara Bareilles的一個朋友勇敢做自己的故事，Sara Bareilles想要通過這樣一首勵志的歌曲鼓勵人們勇敢地表達自己、做真實的自己。這是一首典型的Sara Bareilles式的歌曲，節(jié)奏感強，編曲并不花俏繁復(fù)，再加上Sara Bareilles純凈、充滿張力的嗓音，很容易讓聽眾感受到歌曲所傳遞出的正能量。這首“Brave”在第56屆格萊美頒獎典禮上還入圍最佳流行單曲提名。
