Noah and Lucas are brothers. Noah, the 8-year-old elder brother is lively and adorable while Lucas, the 6-year-old younger one, unfortunately has got congenital cerebral palsy. Recently, only 8-year-old Noah did a thing that moves everyone -- he finished the whole “Triathlon” competition when taking his little brother Lucas who suffers from congenital cerebral palsy with him. The competition is consisted of three parts in the order of open water swimming, road cycling and road long-distance race. It is a tough test for athletes’ techniques and endurance and needs them to finish the competition at one fling.
It is learned that, Lucas was diagnosed with lissencephaly syndrome when he was born. It means that he can never walk and speak like a normal person or eat by himself.
On July 12th, 2014, Noah actually finished the entire items of “triathlon” when bringing Locus with him. They finished the 200 meters swim first, then the 3 miles cycling and the 1 mile running. When swimming, Noah put Lucas in a gas raft; when running and cycling, Lucas stayed in a cart. “Noah is a nerve-racking guy but makes people excited at the same time. As his parent, I am proud of him and it is quite a inconceivable thing” said the bothers’ mother Alissa Aldrich to the reporter at the scene. According to Alissa Aldrich, though Lucas gets congenital defects, his family is very energetic. Together they went on a flight, went to ski and went to the Disneyland. “For enjoying life freely we took part in the activity. When we carried Lucas out of the water, he smiled the most brilliant smile I have ever seen.”
