四川美術(shù)學(xué)院傳媒街沿校園南端300m長的狹窄地帶展開，功能為傳媒教學(xué)工作室、畫廊、餐飲和旅館。它由西向東分為3個區(qū)域：西區(qū)靠近學(xué)校南大門，建筑為3層樓，體量較大；中區(qū)由多個兩層高的立方單元組合成，內(nèi)街貫穿其間，各部分由過街廊連接；東區(qū)圍繞廣場布置多個合院式建筑，3～5層高。外墻采用清水頁巖磚墻，各種花磚砌法在當(dāng)?shù)赜谐墒斓墓に囎鳛榛A(chǔ)。建筑的布局除盡量保持原有地形的起伏外，也注重從對面重慶大學(xué)商業(yè)街看過來的視覺通透感，使傳媒街后面的山體和依山而建的建筑能夠展現(xiàn)給路人。

設(shè)計師力圖以低造價、低技術(shù)手段創(chuàng)造建筑的高品質(zhì)。建筑外立面使用清水頁巖磚，并用當(dāng)?shù)氐墓そ澈蛡鹘y(tǒng)的砌筑工藝完成各種磚體拼花砌法。

The "Media Street" extends 300m and includes media studios, art galleries, restaurants, bars, teahouses and a hotel. It's divided into three parts: the east zone has a central square surrounded by small courtyard buildings of 3～5 stories; the middle zone is combined of several cubic units pierced by an inner street and elevated corridors; the volume of the buildings in the west zone (close to the southern gate of the campus) are bigger. The concept of the master planning is to respect the morphology of the site with free-form buildings while safeguarding the "view corridor" connecting the retail street of the Chongqing University campus to the hills behind the "Media Street". A big living space is created between the "Media Street" and three Student's apartment buildings that extend along the contour lines of the hill. Stone shale bricks were chosen as the material for the project's walls and various local methods for laying these bricks were developed.

An effort was made to get a good quality of building at a low cost by using low-tech building solutions and local construction techniques.
