王南棟，四川省宣漢縣人，1950年生。

王南棟自幼對美術情有獨鐘，夢想成為出色畫家，不料遭致軍人父親的堅決反對，可他認準了的事兒，十條牯牛也拉不回……工作之余，他潛心研習古人和現(xiàn)代畫家的各種繪畫理論及技法。刻苦鉆研、辛勤耕耘數(shù)十年，他寫生和創(chuàng)作的畫稿已積累近萬件。近年來，他既畫國畫、水粉畫，又致力于油畫的創(chuàng)作。大巴山的雄奇秀偉陶冶了他的美學情趣，使他經(jīng)常處于激情澎湃之中，靈感如泉噴涌，一幅幅新作因之不斷問世。

2005年，他的作品《雄風》、《國色天香》、《山里有了讀書聲》參加了四川省政法委、四川省美術家協(xié)會、四川省書法家協(xié)會、四川省西部中國書畫院共同主辦的書畫展。《山里有了讀書聲》獲優(yōu)秀獎并被組委會收藏。2007年，他的油畫《一橋飛架南北》和國畫《天接云濤連曉霧》參加美術書法攝影作品大賽，分別獲一、二等獎。2008年，他的油畫《秋醉巴山》獲二等獎并被收藏。2010年，他的水粉畫《家鄉(xiāng)的小河》獲一等獎……

Wang Nandong, born in Xuanhan County, Sichuan Province in 1950.

Wang Nandong had dreamed of becoming an excellent painter since childhood. After work he studied painting theory and technique of ancient and modern painters for 10 years, his sketches and creative artworks have accumulated nearly been 10,000. In recent years, he painted traditional Chinese painting and committed to the creation of oil painting.

In 2005, his works of Xiong Feng, the Treasures, reading voice in the mountains were participated in the painting and calligraphy exhibition organized by Sichuan province Artists Association and Law Committee,Sichuan province, Sichuan provincial Calligraphers' Association, Sichuan Western China Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and reading voice in the mountains was awarded as excellence and collected by the Organizing Committee. In 2007, his oil painting and traditional Chinese painting won the first and second prize in the art of calligraphy photography competition.In 2008, his painting Autumn of Bashan won the second prize and was collected.
