安徒生的童話《野天鵝》描述了主人公艾麗莎憑著自己的善良、勇敢、毅力來完成了善與惡的斗爭，救了自己，也救了11位哥哥的故事。這個童話故事讓艾麗莎成了兒童心中最受歡迎的形象之一。

1.She looked at the countless stones on the beach.They are smooth and round by sea water.I should possess such spirit.I am determined to see my dear brothers.她望著海灘上那些數(shù)不盡的小石子。海水已經(jīng)把它們洗得光滑圓溜的。我也應(yīng)該有這樣不倦的精神！我一定要見到我親愛的哥哥們。

2.On the seaweed were eleven white swan feathers.She picked them up and bound them together.How she missed her brothers!在海草上有11根白色的天鵝羽毛。她拾起它們，扎成一束。她真想念他的哥哥們啊！

3.When the sun was setting,Alice saw eleven wild swans with gold crowns flying down to the ground.They slapped their wings and settled near her.當太陽快要落下來的時候，艾麗莎看見11只戴著金冠的野天鵝向陸地飛行。天鵝們拍著它們白色的大翅膀，徐徐地在她的附近落了下來。

4.When the sun set down into the water,the feathers on the swans fell down.They changed into eleven handsome princes—Alice brothers.She let out a cry of surprise.太陽一落到水下面去了以后，這些天鵝的羽毛就馬上脫落了，變成了11位美貌的王子——艾麗莎的哥哥們。她發(fā)出一聲驚叫。

5.The eldest brother said,“If only the sun is in the sky,we have to become wild swans,flying.When the sun sets down,we can change back into human being.”最大的哥哥說：“只要太陽還懸在天上，我們弟兄們就得變成野天鵝，不停地飛行。不過當它一落下去的時候，我們就恢復(fù)了人的原形?！?/p>

6.They told their little sister every year they had only one chance to visit their father’s home.They could only wind over the sky,looking down at the palace,the place they were born and now their father lived.他們告訴小妹妹，一年之中，他們只有一次機會拜訪父親的家。他們只能在大森林的上空盤旋，從那里遙望宮殿，遙望他們出生和父親居住的地方。

7.They could only stay here for two days and then they would fly across the sea to the beautiful kingdom opposite.How could they take their sister with them?They had no ship and no canoe.他們還可以在這兒居留兩天，以后就得橫飛過海，到對面那個美麗的國度里去。有什么辦法把他們的小妹妹帶去呢？他們既沒有大船，也沒有小舟。

8.They talked almost entire night with only two hours sleep.When Alice woke up,she heard the sound of swans’flapping the wings.The brothers changed into wild swans winding in the sky and then they flew away.他們差不多談了一整夜，他們只睡了兩個小時。當艾麗莎醒來，她聽見一陣天鵝的拍翅聲。哥哥們又變成了天鵝在空中盤旋，然后向遠方飛去。

9.The youngest one fell behind.He hid his head in her arms and she touched his white feathers.They stayed together the whole day.When the evening came,they flew back.When the sun set,the brothers changed back into human beings again.他們中最年輕的一只掉隊了。他把頭藏在她的懷里。她撫摸著他的白色翅膀。他們整天依偎在一起。黃昏的時候，其他的天鵝都飛回來了。當太陽落下后，他們又恢復(fù)了原形。

10.Alice asked her brothers to take her along,and they agreed finally.They spent a whole night making a big and strong net with gentle willow branch skins and tough reed.艾麗莎懇請她的哥哥們帶她一起走，最后他們答應(yīng)了。他們花了一整夜工夫用柔軟的柳枝皮和堅韌的蘆葦織成了一個又大又結(jié)實的網(wǎng)子。

11.Alice lay in the net.When the sun rose,her brothers changed back into wild swans.They picked up the net with the mouths.Then they carried their sleeping sister to the clouds in the high sky.艾麗莎在網(wǎng)里躺著。當太陽升起來，她的哥哥又變成了野天鵝，他們用嘴銜起這個網(wǎng)。于是他們帶著還在熟睡中的妹妹，高高地向云層里飛去。

12.When Alice woke up,she saw the big sea.She anxiously saw the sun setting.But the lonely reef in the sea didn’t appear.She felt the swans were tired out.艾麗莎醒來看到茫茫的大海，她懷著焦急的心情看到太陽徐徐地下沉，然而大海中那座孤獨的礁石至今還沒有在眼前出現(xiàn)。她似乎覺得這些天鵝已經(jīng)筋疲力盡了。

13.Suddenly,Alice saw a large cloud drawing near,and it predicted the storm was coming soon.The sun was close to the coastline.Alice’s heart began to shake,and she knew it was because she was too heavy to carry for her brothers.突然，艾麗莎看見大塊烏云越逼越近，狂風預(yù)示著暴風雨就要到來?，F(xiàn)在太陽已經(jīng)接近海岸線了。艾麗莎的心顫抖起來。都怪自己太重了，哥哥們都托不起她了。

14.Finally,they landed on the reef.She noticed her brothers sit around her hand in hand,no room left except that they and she herself stood closely.The waves hit the reef,just like showers attacking them.終于他們在礁石上停了下來，她看到她的哥哥們手挽著手站在她的周圍，不過除了僅夠他們和她自己站著的空間以外，再也沒有多余的地位了。海濤打著這塊礁石，像陣雨似的向他們襲來。

15.They spent the night with so much trouble.As soon as the sun rose,the swans flew away from the small island with their sister Alice.The sun rose and Alice saw a kingdom with high mountains in the air.就這樣他們度過了艱難的一夜，太陽出來的時候，天鵝們就帶著艾麗莎從這小島上起飛。太陽升高了，艾麗莎看到前面有一個多山的國度，浮在空中。

16.Now she saw the kingdom she was going.There were beautiful hiss,fir woods,cities and place.Before the sun set,she was in front of a big cave.She prayed for her brothers all the time in the cave.現(xiàn)在她看到她要去的那個國度。這兒有壯麗的青山、杉木林、城市和王宮。太陽沒有落下前，她已落到一個大山洞的前面了。她在山洞里一直為她的哥哥們祈禱。

17.In the dream,she still prayed.She felt she flew to the palace in the clouds.A fairy came to welcome her.She was pretty beautiful,but she looked like the old lady she met in the forest.在夢里，她不斷地祈禱。她覺得自己飛到云中宮殿里去了。一位仙女來迎接她。她非常美麗，但又很像那個她在森林里遇到的老婆婆。

18.The fairy told her to gather the nettles around the cave and then make hemp by stepping on them.She should make them into thread,wave them into eleven cloaks then long sleeves,and cover the swans with the cloaks,the magic would disappear.仙女告訴她必須在山洞的周圍采集蕁麻，用腳踩，制造出麻。然后把麻搓成線，織出11件長袖披風。把它們披到那11只野天鵝的身上，他們身上的魔力就解除了。

19.The fairy warned her she couldn’t say one sentence from the moment she started the job until she finished the task.Every word from her would thrust into the brothers’heart like sharp sword.仙女還提醒她從開始工作的那個時刻起，一直到完成都不可以說一句話。因為她每說出一個字，就會像一把鋒利的短劍刺進哥哥們的心。
