Amsterdam is the capital of Netherlands and also its largest city.It was once an important port,and has many old canals that run in a circle pattern through the center of the city.Because the main roads cross one canal after another,Amsterdam has many bridges.Along the canals,the roads are cobbled and there are many tall old buildings.阿姆斯特丹是荷蘭的首都，也是荷蘭最大的城市。它曾經(jīng)是一個重要的港口，因此有許多古老的運河環(huán)繞。許多主干道沿著一條條運河延伸，因此阿姆斯特丹有很多橋。運河沿岸的道路都是鵝卵石鋪就的，高樓林立，古色古香。
