1．Once,there was a drought in a Russian village,where lived a mother and daughter.The mother bacame ill without water.從前，俄羅斯的一個(gè)村子大旱。母女倆住在村子里，因?yàn)闆](méi)有水，母親生病了。

2．It was dark.The dew in the moonlight gave light in the field.The daughter got the dew with a spoon,but only a little.天黑了，月光下的露水在田野里閃閃發(fā)亮。女兒拿著勺子一滴一滴收露水，只收了很少一點(diǎn)兒。

3．She walked from the field into the forest to collect dew.Suddenly,the poor girl fell,and the dew flew out of the spoon.為了收集露水，女兒從田野走進(jìn)森林里。突然，可憐的孩子跌倒了，露水從勺子里流出來(lái)。

4．A strong wind blew the dew in the tree to the sky and flew into the spoon.The girl ran home with the spoon.一陣大風(fēng)吹過(guò)，樹(shù)上的露水飛上天，又流進(jìn)勺子。于是，女兒端著勺子往家跑。

5．A dog on the road was dying of thirst.The girl gave the dog the water.The dog drank and the spoon became a silver one.路上有只狗，快要渴死了。女兒讓狗喝水，狗喝了一口，勺子變成了銀勺子。

6．The mother drank,but didn’t want to go on.The daughter said,“Mum,I’m not thirsty.Drink the water,and you will be well.”母親只喝了一口就不喝了。女兒說(shuō)：“媽媽，我不渴，你喝了病就好了。”

7．Suddenly,the silver spoon changed into a gold one.An old grandpa in rags appeared and he asked for some water.突然，銀勺子變成金勺子。一個(gè)衣衫襤褸的爺爺出現(xiàn)了，他也要喝水。

8．The girl handed the spoon to the old grandpa.He drank all the water,and seven beautiful jewels were in the spoon.女兒把勺子遞給老爺爺。他喝光了水，七顆美麗的鉆石鑲嵌在勺子上。

9.“Little girl,you are so kind and helpful,I’ll give you rain,”said the grandpa.老爺爺說(shuō)：“小姑娘，你有一顆善良和樂(lè)于助人的心，我一定會(huì)給你降雨的!”

10．The old grandpa disappeared.The seven jewels flew into the sky.The little girl looked up and she saw a spoon-like Big Dipper.老爺爺突然不見(jiàn)了，七顆鉆石飛上天。小姑娘抬頭想天空望去，她看見(jiàn)了勺子形狀的北斗星。

11．The girl looked at the seven stars and she prayed it would be wonderful to rain.Suddenly，it began to rain.The girl smiled happily.女孩望著星星，默默地許愿，要是能下雨該多好呀！突然，天空下起了雨。女孩開(kāi)心地笑了。

12．It rained for three days and nights.The village was saved.Since then,if there is a drought,there is water flowing from the spoon in the sky.雨下了三天三夜，村子得救了。從此，一到天旱，天上的勺子就流下水來(lái)。
