Hello， I’m a reindeer*. I like living in cold places. You can find me in the Arctic（北極地區(qū)） and Subarctic（亞北極地區(qū)）. My coat has two layers（層） of fur*， so I’m not afraid（害怕） of the cold. Sometimes I eat meat.

My favourite food is lichens（青苔）. I also eat leaves， grass and mushrooms（蘑菇）. In winter， there isn’t enough* grass or lichens. So I sometimes eat lemmings（旅鼠） and bird eggs.

I often have a race* with mosquitoes*.

When summer comes， mosquitoes come， too. They often suck（吸） my blood. In order to（為了） get rid of（擺脫） the mosquitoes， I often have a race with them. Ha ha， they can’t catch up with* me！

We migrate（遷移） every year.

In winter， we travel to forested（草木叢生的） areas* to look for food under the snow. When spring comes， we leave the winter grounds and migrate back to the north.
