China Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 was held in Beijing from March 24th – March 31st March, 2011. 40 brands along with 20 well-known designers and around 300 emerging fashion talents presented their collections in D.Park, Beijing Hotel, Shin Kong Place, Beijing World Summit Wing, and CAFA Art Museum for 29 shows, 7 contests fi nal and 15 press conferences and lectures. With a variety of 20 model agencies and hundreds of models along with internationally renowned makeup and styling professionals and over 200 international media and 500 reporters participated in showcasing and reporting China Fashion Week.Since both the economy of China and the infl uence of China Fashion Week continuously rising, China Fashion Week has gained its attention among the international brands that actively sponsor fashion industry. This year, the leading luxury automotive brand Mercedes Benz sponsors China Fashion Week again. Meanwhile, the world’s leading logistic brand DHL has been cooperating with China Fashion Week since 2011. It launched a series of “DHL Delivers Fashion’s Future” to present the collections of emerging Chinese designers and graduates. The combination of fashion and delivery demonstrates both the uniqueness of its profession and its strong attitude towards fashion. This cooperation not only can strongly promote China Fashion Week to the world but can encourage and help the development of Chinese young talents as well. Furthermore, as China Fashion Week has increasingly gained its infl uence to the world, it encourages the fashion industry in China to keep progressing. China would not only make itself to be one member of the big fashion family but become the leader and innovator of fashion trends.
