Xu Yilan was born in Boye county， Hebei province in 1972. He graduated from thedepartment of fine arts of Inner Mongolia Normal University with the major of oil painting in1994. Now， he is working in the Inner Mongolia Technical College of Construction. He is amember of Inner Mongolia Artists Association.

一斕是我的同學，也是我的朋友。

上大學期間，他就顯示出高強的寫實功底，每一筆的色彩結(jié)合著筆觸很到位。后來我們各自飄零，我在北京開始所謂的學術(shù)生涯，他依舊在游牧民族的腹地駐扎。
