Easter is a special (特殊的) holiday in spring. It is a Christian holiday, and its on a special Sunday in March or April. Itson April 12th this year. Jesus died on Friday, but he came to life again and it was on Sunday.

Today Christians go to church (教堂) and have a special service on Easter Sunday. Many people sing and pray (祈禱) on Easter Sunday, and they think of new life in heaven (天堂) after death. It is a very happy day.

Flowers, eggs and rabbits are symbols (標(biāo)志) of Easter because they are all symbols of new life. In some places, people celebrate Easter by wearing new brightly colored clothes in an Easter parade (游行). Children like the Easter bunny and his baskets of goodies.

Its said the Easter bunny will fill his basket with colored eggs and candies, then he hides the eggs and candies in many places on the day before the Easter Sunday. On Easter Sunday morning children hunt for the eggs and candies. And many children will also color their eggs at home.

The oldest tradition is to use dyed and painted chicken eggs as Easter eggs, but a moderncustom istosubstitute (代替) eggs made from chocolate, or plastic eggs filled with candies.

復(fù)活節(jié)是春天里的一個特殊的節(jié)日。它是基督教徒的節(jié)日。它一般都在三月或四月的某個特殊的星期日,今年的復(fù)活節(jié)在四月十二號。耶穌是在星期五死去的,但他又在星期日復(fù)活了。

如今,基督徒們在復(fù)活節(jié)會去教堂參加一個特別的復(fù)活節(jié)儀式。很多人在那一天都會唱歌和祈禱。他們會想到死后在天堂復(fù)活的日子。這是多么快樂的日子啊!

花,雞蛋,兔子都是復(fù)活節(jié)的標(biāo)志,因為他們都是新生命的象征。在有些地方,人們會穿上亮麗的新衣服參加復(fù)活節(jié)的游行。孩子們則喜歡復(fù)活節(jié)的兔子和他們籃子里好吃的東西。

據(jù)說復(fù)活節(jié)兔子會在籃子里裝滿彩蛋和糖果,然后在復(fù)活節(jié)星期日到來的前一天把彩蛋和糖果藏到很多地方。在復(fù)活節(jié)這個星期天早上,孩子們會出去尋找這些彩蛋和糖果。很多孩子也會自己在家涂他們自己的蛋。

傳統(tǒng)的復(fù)活節(jié)彩蛋是用上色或涂色的雞蛋做成的,但是現(xiàn)代人們用巧克力做的雞蛋代替了,或者用裝滿軟糖的塑料雞蛋代替。
