I read your problem from the letter. In my opinion， it is silly to argue with your mother. I used to have the same kind of problem as you. I used to wear tipped jeans and my parents disliked them. I showed them some pictures of teens wearing ripped jeans from magazines， and I told them my ideas about clothes. Finally they accepted the fact that I am no longer a child and I needed them to respect my choice.
