形容詞和副詞是高考的重要考點,主要在具體的語境中考查它們的用法。如:形容詞、副詞的位置,形容詞、副詞的排列順序,形容詞、副詞的比較級和最高級,形容詞性短語,副詞短語動詞等。現(xiàn)以2009年高考各省市考題為例。

(一)形容詞、副詞辨析

1. D。形容詞辨析題。vivid“活潑的;活躍的;生動的;清楚的;逼真的”;cautious“謹慎的;非常小心的;細心的”。

2. B。本句意為:由于石油和煤炭越來越少,科學家們正在研究如何利用可代替資源。primary初級的;alternative可用于替代其他事物的,另一可選用的,其他的;instant 立刻的,立即的;unique獨特的,唯一的。

5. A。本題考查形容詞的辨析。be accessible to “為……能夠接近”;be relative to “和……有關(guān)系”;be acceptable to“為……所接受”;be sensitive to“對……敏感, 易接受”。

6. C。根據(jù)后一句話“A small step makes a big difference”可知,living green(綠色生活)又容易又不貴。由此排除掉D項。A項表示“準確地”;B項意為“幸運地”;只有C項surprisingly 能夠說明living green is easy and affordable出乎說話人的意料,可以翻譯成“原來綠色生活是這么地容易和省錢!(過去總以為綠色生活很費勁或者很昂貴)”。

7. C。副詞辨析題。rarely“很少,難得”,與句意不符;rather “相當,有點,頗”,較fairly語氣強;rather可與too及比較級連用,而fairly,pretty則不可。

8. C。mainly主要地;punctually守時地,準時地;approximately大約地;precisely精確地,恰好。根據(jù)本句中的ten to fifteen minutes(十到十五分鐘)可知是大約的數(shù)。因此選擇C。

9. D。根據(jù)句意:“在護士們的精心照料下,小男孩逐漸地從心臟手術(shù)中恢復(fù)過來?！眖uietly“安靜地”;actually“實際上”;practically“實際上;事實上”;gradually“逐步地,漸漸地”。

10. C。此題考查了副詞辨析。A項意為“真地”;B項意為“明顯地”;C項意為“實際上,確實”;D項(下轉(zhuǎn)第51頁)(上接第45頁)意為“一般地,普遍地”。

11. C。由后句可知應(yīng)用表示否定的never。句意為“我永遠做不了老師,因為我不是個很有耐心的人”。

12. D。本句意為“她不戴眼睛看起來漂亮多了!”,原句中much多用來修飾比較級。

13. A。本題中,由前面的分句可知,孩子喜歡這一天的行程,故排除C、D項;兩者比較時,才可用 more。該句意為“在這一天的所有的行程中事情里面,他們最喜歡騎馬”,最高級的比較范圍隱含在上文中their day trip里。

14. D。本題考查比較級的結(jié)構(gòu)as …. as , 注意句中的more than 只是修飾twice。

15. B。more than意為“不僅僅,不只是”;A意為“除了(except)”;C意為“而不是”;D意為“不到,比……少”。根據(jù)線索詞too可知答案為B。

16. B。much too 意為“太”,用來修飾形容詞或副詞,放在被修飾詞前;而too much 意為“太多的”,用來修飾名詞,或用來修飾動詞,放在動詞短語后面。
