綜合所給的選項(xiàng),可知題干大意應(yīng)為:湯姆的家在其學(xué)校的(兩)百米之外。這道題考查的是數(shù)詞hundred和量詞meter的搭配。解題時(shí)要明確三點(diǎn):①當(dāng)hundred前有數(shù)字修飾時(shí),hundred后不需要加“-s”(排除D),例如:nine hundred and eight;②只要大于“1”的數(shù)量都是復(fù)數(shù)概念,“a/one hundred”是大于1的數(shù)量,所以當(dāng)其修飾可數(shù)名詞meter時(shí),meter要用復(fù)數(shù)(排除C);③如hundred不與具體數(shù)字相連,要用復(fù)數(shù)形式(排除A)。所以,這道題只有B項(xiàng)正確。

題干的大意為:A事物對(duì)孩子性格的影響和B事物不一樣。很明顯,這兩個(gè)不同事物的比較關(guān)系是通過“the same...as”來體現(xiàn)的,所以空格中必須有一個(gè)as。同時(shí),比較的另一方要作介詞as的賓語,應(yīng)為一個(gè)賓語從句。但這個(gè)賓語從句現(xiàn)在不完整,需要一個(gè)關(guān)系代詞在從句中作主語,并引導(dǎo)這個(gè)從句,所以空格處還要填入一個(gè)what。因而,本題選C。
再來看B項(xiàng)為什么不能選。我們都知道,as在限定性定語從句中,常用于“such...as”和“the same...as”結(jié)構(gòu)中,作關(guān)系代詞。如果選B,題干就會(huì)變?yōu)椋篧hat is learned in books can not have the same effect on a child's character as is learned through experience. 很顯然,句中的as代替先行詞effect,在定語從句中作主語,并引導(dǎo)這個(gè)從句。但這樣一來,as引導(dǎo)的從句實(shí)際要表達(dá)的就是:Effect is learned through experience. 這顯然不符合題意,所以排除B項(xiàng)。

此題考查的是“be said to”句型,它表示“據(jù)說”,常用于:Sb. is/was said to do/have done sth. = It is/was said that sb. did/have done sth. (it是形式主語,后面的that從句才是真正的主語。) 例如:Mark is said to have left here. = It is said that Mark has left here. 四個(gè)選項(xiàng)中,只有A 、B兩項(xiàng)符合這個(gè)句型,排除C、D。同時(shí),由于found這個(gè)動(dòng)作發(fā)生在過去,現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)完成,所以要用完成時(shí),選B。
類似“be said to do/ have done sth.”的結(jié)構(gòu)還有很多,如:be reported/ believed/ thought/ known/ ordered/ considered/ (well) known/ hoped/ pointed out/ admitted,它們常與其他知識(shí)點(diǎn)結(jié)合考查,例如:
1. Another man-made earth satellite is reported by Beijing Evening News to have been put into orbit. (中間插入干擾成分)
2. There are said to be one billion people learning English now, and about 80% of the information on the Internet is in English. (用于there be句型中)
3. Any student who is thought to have broken the rules, for example, by cheating, has to appear before a student court. (用于定語從句中)
