Penny Bolt:
Penny: That one. You're heavy, and slobbery There. You're a good boy! You're my good boy!
Mittens: How about that, Bolt? She is an actress. She is just pretending.
Bolt: Not Penny.
Mittens: There is no Penny. She is fake.
Bolt: No, you're wrong. She loves me.
Mittens: No, no, Bolt. That's what they do, okay? They act like they love you. They act like they'll be there forever. And then one day, they'll pack up all their stuff and move away, and take their love with them, and leave their declawed (爪子被去掉的) cat behind to fend for herself! They leave her...wondering...what she did wrong.
Bolt: I'm sorry, Mittens, but...Penny is different.
Mittens: Then go.
Mittens Bolt:
Bolt: Oh...What? What is this red liquid coming from my paw?
Mittens: It's called blood, hero!
Bolt: Do I need it?
Mittens: Yes. So if you want to keep it inside your body where it belongs, you should stop jumping off trucks doing eighty on the interstate
Bolt: Yeah, well, normally I'm attaining more indestructible Must have been the...styrofoam That stuff, it weakens me!
Mittens: The real world hurts, doesn't it? But you wouldn't know about that, would you?
Bolt: Get down here, cat. We don't have time for this.
Mittens: Look, genius. You're a part of a TV show. You know what that is? Television. It's entertainment for people. It's fake! Nothing you think is real is real!
Bolt: That's preposterous (荒謬的)!
Mittens: Think about it, Bolt. Since you got lost, none of your powers are working, are they? For the first time you are hungry, you were bleeding. I...I...I mean, do you really think that you were born with a birthmark in an exact shape of a lightening bolt?
Bolt: It's my mark of power, cat.
Mittens: It's a mark of a make-up art, dog.
Bolt: You are ridiculous. Get down here!
Mittens: No.
Bolt: Mittens, so help me, I will super bark you out of that tree.
Mittens: Yeah, go nuts. Let's see how that works out for you.
Bolt: You leave me no choice.
(Bolt
Mittens: Oh, the super bark. Scary, scary! Yeah, that's really really super.
Bolt: It's not true. This is not true.
Mittens: Wow! I won't feel really \"super.\" Wait! No, it didn't. Okay, okay. I get the idea. You can stop now. That's enough! Seriously dog, stop! I'm not kidding. Would you stop? Okay, fine. You're the super dog. Bolt, be quiet, please.
★Tips for learning:
If a guy always holds a book upside down, he's considered some kind of nut. 例:a movie nut電影迷。
Rhino Bolt:
Rhino: Yes. Bolt, I can be a valuable addition to your team.
Bolt: I'm listening.
Rhino: I'm lightning quick. I have razor sharp reflexes (反射). And I'm a master of stealth Plus, I'll keep the cat in check1.
Bolt: The road would be rough.
Rhino: I have a ball2.
Bolt: There is no turning back.
Rhino: I guess I have to roll with the punches (力量).
Bolt: Easy will be parley (會談) equation.
Rhino: Promise.
Bolt: Gotta warn you, going into the belly of the beast3, danger at every turn.
Rhino: I eat danger for breakfast.
Bolt: You're hungry?
Rhino: Starving.
Bolt: Welcome aboard (歡迎加入).
★Tips for learning:
1. Keep sb./sth. in check:控制住某人(或某事),例:keep one's voice in check壓低嗓音。這個(gè)詞組還可以說成have/hold sb./sth. in check,例:He held you in check through me.
3. Belly of the beast,意思是“進(jìn)入野獸的胃(被野獸吞食)”。 I've had a beast of time.
Rhino: You! You can, Bolt. Because, all over this planet, there are animals who feel like they can't, like a little hamster (老鼠), who once spent his days in an RV (Recreational Vehicle,娛樂車) park, dreaming of the day when he too would save a little girl from danger and be told: \"You did it! You did it, Rhino! You saved the day.\" They need a hero, Bolt! Someone, who, no matter what the odds (成敗的可能性), will do what's right. They need a hero to tell them that sometimes the impossible...can become possible. Yes, you are awesome.
Bolt: Well, you're right about one thing, Rhino. Mittens does need a hero. I guess I'll have to do.
Rhino: Such modesty! Now, who is going to save that cat?
Bolt: Me.
Rhino: Who? Tell me who?
Bolt: Me.
Rhino: I'll get my ball.
Mittens: Where are you going?
Rhino: To Bolt.
Mittens: But he doesn't need us anymore.
Rhino: Trust me, I've seen that a million times before. In the cold, dark night before the battle, when the steely fangs (尖牙) of evil are sharpened and poised to strike, the hero must go and face his greatest challenge alone. But if Bolt's taught me anything, it's that you never abandon (丟棄) a friend in a time of need! When your teammate's in trouble, you go. Whether they ask or not, you go! Not knowing if you're coming back dead or alive, you go.
