《Guess How Much I Love You》是一本著名兒童讀物，通過(guò)小兔娃娃和它老爸的對(duì)話，告訴我們父母的愛(ài)有多偉大。那么，當(dāng)你想表達(dá)“某件事的程度有多深”的時(shí)候，該怎么說(shuō)呢?

我們常用的副詞most可以用來(lái)表示程度很深，比如“It is most satisfying”(太令人滿意了)、“I will most certainly attend the party”(我絕對(duì)會(huì)來(lái)參加派對(duì)的)，但要注意的是，most只能形容帶有感情色彩或主觀意見(jiàn)的詞。Awfully也能用來(lái)表示極端程度，比如“The building is awfully beautiful”(這建筑美極了)、“That guy is awfully cool”(那家伙酷到極點(diǎn)了)。

如果要表示“非常想要/需要某樣?xùn)|西”，那么用badly這個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單的詞就可以了，它經(jīng)常和“need”、“want”之類表示需求的動(dòng)詞一起出現(xiàn)。Jill want that waterproof mascara badly，意思是“Jill很想要那支防水睫毛膏”；Mario is badly in need of help，是指“Mario非常需要幫助”。

我們都知道如何用so和such來(lái)表示程度深重，比如“It’s so cold”、“It’s such a cold day”都表示天氣很冷的意思，如果在so和such前面加上一個(gè)“ever”，程度就更深了?！癐t’s ever so cold”、“It’s ever such a cold day”，這樣就更強(qiáng)調(diào)了冷的程度。

如果有人跟你說(shuō)“You are cute like anything”，他并不是說(shuō)“你像任何東西一樣可愛(ài)”，而是說(shuō)“你可愛(ài)得不得了”?！發(fā)ike anything”也是常見(jiàn)的表示程度的詞，比如“The boy wants like anything to drive his daddy’s car”(那孩子非?？释_(kāi)他老爸的車)、“The firework is bright like anything”(煙花亮得要命)。

“A thousand thanks!”是一句經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)在感謝卡片上的話，這里的“a thousand”是一種表達(dá)夸張情緒的方法。比如，當(dāng)你聽(tīng)說(shuō)鄰居家那只享年19歲的貓咪過(guò)世了的時(shí)候，你可以說(shuō)“Oh，it’s a thousand pity”。只要你的感情是真實(shí)的，稍微夸張一點(diǎn)不是壞事!

在中文里，我們會(huì)用“無(wú)以名狀”來(lái)形容程度有多深，而在英文里，我們一就可以用“more than”。比如：I am more than happy to hear from you(收到你的信，我的喜悅難以名狀)；That girl is more than outstanding(那個(gè)女生不是一般的優(yōu)秀，而是非常優(yōu)秀)。

用來(lái)表示“程度很深”的短語(yǔ)有很多，在這里我只能介紹最簡(jiǎn)單的幾種。為了加深大家對(duì)它們的印象，我得給你們布置一點(diǎn)兒小作業(yè)!請(qǐng)翻譯以下句子，它們都是我的心里話——
