So I want to say to my supporters: When you hear people saying or think to yourself, “If only”, or, “What if,” I say, please, dont go there.

我要告訴我的支持者：如果你聽到別人說，或者你自己曾經(jīng)這樣想，“如果某件事沒有發(fā)生”，或者“要是出現(xiàn)了另一種情況”……那么我會說，請不要這樣設想。

Every moment wasted looking back keeps us from moving forward. Life is too short, time is too precious, and the stakes are too high to dwell on what might have been. We have to work together for what still can be. And that is why I will work my heart out to make sure that Senator Obama is our next president.

為往事嘆息，會阻礙我們前進。生命短暫，時間寶貴，沉湎于空想的代價實在太大。面對現(xiàn)實，我們必須團結(jié)起來。這就是我全力支持奧巴馬參議員當選下一任總統(tǒng)的原因。

When we first started, people everywhere asked the same questions. Could a woman really serve as commander-in-chief? Well, I think we answered that one.

當選舉剛開始的時候，到處都有人在問：一個女人真的能夠領導國家嗎？我想，我們已經(jīng)對這個問題作出了回答。

As we gather here today in this historic, magnificent building, the 50th woman to leave this Earth is orbiting overhead. If we can blast 50 women into space, we will someday launch a woman into the White House.

Although we werent able to shatter that highest, hardest glass ceiling this time, thanks to you, its got about 18 million cracks in it……

... and the light is shining through like never before, filling us all with the hope and the sure knowledge that the path will be a little easier next time.

The way to continue our fight now, to accomplish the goals for which we stand is to take our energy, our passion, our strength, and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama, the next president of the United States.

我們的戰(zhàn)斗還將繼續(xù)，我們的目標還沒有完成，讓我們繼續(xù)用我們的能力、我們的熱情、我們的力量、我們能做的一切，幫助巴拉克·奧巴馬，讓他成為美國的下一任總統(tǒng)。

Today, as I suspend my campaign, I congratulate

him on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run. I endorse him and throw my full support behind him.

I have stood on the stage and gone toe-to-toe with him in 22 debates. Ive had a front-row seat to his candidacy, and I have seen his strength and determination, his grace and his grit.

我在競選中，曾經(jīng)同他面對面辯論了22次。我對他很了解，我親眼看到了他的力量和決心，他的優(yōu)雅和勇氣。

Now, being human, we are imperfect. Thats why we need each other, to catch each other when we falter, to encourage each other when we lose heart. Some may lead, some may follow, but none of us can go it alone.

作為人類，我們沒有人是完美無缺的。這就是為什么我們彼此需要。當?shù)沟臅r候，我們彼此扶持。當灰心的時候，我們互相鼓勵。一些人會成為領導者，另一些人將緊緊跟隨，但是沒有人能夠獨自完成這一切。
