馮小剛認(rèn)為，巴頓將軍這樣的大人物是瘋子，是戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)狂人，但“真正去玩命的是無(wú)法做出決定的人，這些人更值得同情也更值得尊敬?！薄懊恳粋€(gè)犧牲都是永垂不朽的”，這是馮小剛本人目前的戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)觀。在戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)面前，恐懼和懦弱才是人的常態(tài)；對(duì)戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)有恐懼的人才能為別人做出犧牲，這才是真正的英雄。

According to Feng Xiaogang， big shots like General Patton are crazy-cats and war bedlamites; those who cannot make decisions really bet their lives and are more pitiful and respectable. Feng Xiaogang's current outlook on war is \"each sacrifice is immortal.\" In face of war， fear and cowardice are normal behaviors among men; only those who dread war can sacrifice for others and therefore are real heroes.

外編點(diǎn)評(píng)：本月的譯文中很多譯者都不約而同地使用了“bedlamite”一詞，其實(shí)這個(gè)詞在現(xiàn)代英語(yǔ)中已經(jīng)很少使用。我們可以用“l(fā)unatic”或者“maniac”來(lái)表示“狂人”。本文中的第二個(gè)分句稍顯混亂，如果要加強(qiáng)語(yǔ)氣不妨寫(xiě)成這樣“yet it is those who do not make the decisions that really bet their lives， and are much more pitiable and respectable.”。第三句翻得不錯(cuò)，如果將“is”改成“should be”會(huì)更好些。最后，我想潤(rùn)色一下最后一句“only those who dread war can sacrifice themselves for others， and therefore are the real heroes.”。

外編點(diǎn)評(píng)：本文中有點(diǎn)小錯(cuò)誤：譯者漏掉了幾個(gè)詞，另外一些語(yǔ)法需要修正一下。首先我要指出文中最明顯的一處錯(cuò)誤，巴頓將軍的拼寫(xiě)應(yīng)該是“Patton”而非“Barton”。第二句中的“decison-makers”前應(yīng)加上定冠詞“the”。緊接其后的句子要么使用句號(hào)，將“they”大寫(xiě)；要么改為逗號(hào)，做一個(gè)分句。我想將第四句稍加修改為“Everyone who dies on the battlefield is immortal – this is Feng's current view of war.”。文中的“in face of”應(yīng)該寫(xiě)作“in the face of”，或許“cowardice”比“cowardiness”更為貼切。

However， those who risk their lives in the battlefield are not entitled to make decisions， and they are the very people that deserve more sympathy and respect. Every person shall be remembered forever if he gives his life， which is Fong's present value towards war. While confronting war， it is normal to be scared and spineless. Those who have a fear of war would sacrifice themselves to others and can be called the true heroes.

外編點(diǎn)評(píng)：這是一篇不錯(cuò)的譯文。我個(gè)人意見(jiàn)將文中的“Not entitled to make decisions”修改為“not the ones who make the decisions”?！榜T小剛的戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)觀”一句用表語(yǔ)從句的形式表達(dá)會(huì)更加合適“Fang's current attitude towards war is that anyone who gives his life should be remembered forever.”。將文中的while改用when代替會(huì)更符合語(yǔ)言習(xí)慣。最后一句中將“and”去掉，用表示轉(zhuǎn)折的詞“yet”代替“would”，也就是“Those who have a fear of war， yet sacrifice themselves for others， can be called the true heroes.”。

本期題目：

我見(jiàn)到的很多女性，包括很多事業(yè)有成、受過(guò)良好教育的女性，壓根就沒(méi)有想追求真正的平等。她們只想享受“平等”帶來(lái)的權(quán)利，而拒絕一切義務(wù)。另一方面，今天，很多女性在經(jīng)濟(jì)上已經(jīng)可以和男人平起平坐了，但她們的精神并沒(méi)有真正地自立起來(lái)。由于受到傳統(tǒng)觀念的強(qiáng)烈暗示和催眠，她們恨嫁、哀嘆命運(yùn)的不公、為某人的一個(gè)眼神而徹夜難眠。符合她們要求的男人多半已經(jīng)名草有主，“情人”于是成了某些女性苦澀又難以擺脫的身份。
