I left Chicago today. I packed all my stuff into the back of my truck, just like all those other times when I decided to hit the road and find a new town to fall in and out of love with. My pickup truck is just a big old suitcase on wheels, and I pack it tight with all the junk I managed to collect in Chicago: packets of snapshots and half-read books and even a neon-orange safety vest that I wear when I ride my bike.
