As an important pioneering undertaking， China Auto International Tour was held for the first time in 1995. At that time， 28 cars and mo-torcyeles from China's four major manufacturing groups in as tronau-tics， aeronautics， weapons and general logistics sectors took 20 days to travel around half of the country. This exhibition tour turned out a great success and was of great significance when China's auto industry began to take off.
