Only for the sea
Beautiful dreams can't always come true, but we must have some. (A motto)
We like to link our ideals to the other seashore, regard ourselves as a boat, and take the realization of ideals as a journey at the boundless sea. Though this simile is no longer fresh, it is still popular. That's be- cause all of us are rowing at full tilt and heading for the other shore, in order to live our beautiful dreams.
The other shore is a prize- awarding platform many people are fighting for. Every competitor wishes eagerly to become the winner, so that they could be admired by people around and petted by passionate ap- plause. But has the winner ever thought about where the applause comes from? From himself? Definitely not! It is from those who have been defeated by him in the competition and the audiences. In fact, those who applaud are not always less happy than the person standing at the platform, and the person standing at the platform are not always more excited than people who applaud. Ev- erybody has his own content, experience and ambition. Because of this, everybody has his own criterion of happiness, which is quite different from others.
Sometimes, the reality is cruel and it is unavoidable. Somepeoplealwayskeep blaming or cursing whenever they are in trouble or in agony. When things go well, they laugh happily and forget the potential troubles. At that time, they believe that they are the luckiest ones in the world. However, thinking about it carefully, we will find a different conclusion. It is no doubt that the most perfect result is to win if we are making progress all the time. But if success is out of the question, should we give up what we are doing? No! Just go on and on.Because if we have done our best, even though the result is still not satisfying at last, it is still a preciousexperiencebecauseitatleast brings us a great many fantastic memories.Applause, flowers, gold medals, all of them will be deserted as time goes by and the winner passes away, but the spirit of fighting and challenging will exist forever in people's heart. So we should pay more attention to the course than to the results. Opening our heart and savoring every drop of life, we will be most happy. After all, the course is the real content of our life journey.
The course is not only a means of accumulating energy, but also an approach to reach the other shore. It shows the grandness of the sea, as well as the dangerous typhoon; it has not only beautiful waves, but also terrible icebergs; it will give everyone a chance, but it will not give anyone a single privilege. It is the combination of appreciation and adventure, of gratitude and suffer- ing. It is the course that makes us no longer lonelywhen wearenavigating.Italso makes us know ourselves, reflect ourselves and improve ourselves. We are likely to be knocked down, but it' s worth trying, because at least we will go through a totally different experience of our own. If we keep our eyes open, we will see the magnificence of the sea, and we will find our life quite interesting and enjoyable while fighting in the sea.
Actually, we are not fighting for the other shore but for the dangerous and exciting sea.
