- 大西洋上層200米有逾千萬(wàn)噸微塑料垃圾
-2100萬(wàn)噸微塑料垃圾，僅對(duì)其中3種最多的塑料進(jìn)行定量分析，整個(gè)大西洋中的塑料數(shù)量遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)高于以前確定的數(shù)量。此前，因缺乏來(lái)自微塑料積累系統(tǒng)的可靠量化數(shù)據(jù)，阻礙了對(duì)微塑料積累所造成的生態(tài)和環(huán)境損害的評(píng)估。根據(jù)1950-2015年塑料垃圾的產(chǎn)生趨勢(shì)，并假設(shè)大西洋在65年中持續(xù)接收了全球塑料垃圾的一部分，大西洋水域和沉積物中的塑料輸入量估計(jì)為1700萬(wàn)-4700萬(wàn)噸。目前存在的塑料總質(zhì)量與1950年以來(lái)輸入的塑料估計(jì)量持平，甚至可能超過(guò)。
