《當(dāng)代社會(huì)科學(xué)》是由中華人民共和國新聞出版總署、正式批準(zhǔn)公開發(fā)行的全英文期刊。本刊辦刊宗旨是向海外一流人文社科研究機(jī)構(gòu)推介中國優(yōu)秀人文社科研究成果，擴(kuò)大國內(nèi)優(yōu)秀學(xué)者的國際影響力，并通過這些學(xué)術(shù)成果促進(jìn)海外同行更深刻地理解變革中的中國。同時(shí)，致力于發(fā)現(xiàn)并篩選海外同行關(guān)于四川、中國西部發(fā)展以及中國改革開放的優(yōu)秀論文，豐富國內(nèi)學(xué)者理解中國問題的維度。 《當(dāng)代社會(huì)科學(xué)》（雙月刊）創(chuàng)刊于2016年，是由四川省社會(huì)科學(xué)院主管的綜合性人文社會(huì)科學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)理論刊物。文章選用范圍包括哲學(xué)、政治學(xué)、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、國學(xué)、社會(huì)學(xué)、法學(xué)等人文社會(huì)學(xué)科。此外，本刊將不定期開設(shè)特色專題，主要涉及生態(tài)倫理、地緣政治及人類學(xué)。
